Grey Horn Bill Bird

The urban bird

The Indian Grey Hornbill is a common resident of the Indian Subcontinent. It has dull grey feathers all over its body and its belly is usually a shade lighter or a dull white. It lives in trees and is around 61cms in length. The Grey Hornbill, usually spotted in the Nandur Madhmeshwar Bird Sanctuary, is a rather fascinating bird to watch.
